Before buying these headphones, I had AKG 361BT, I liked them all, except for one, the right earpiece stopped playing after 2 months, because of the move, I lost the receipt and the box (probably threw it away). Therefore, I decided not to spare money for a good thing that will be reliable and of high quality. The choice fell on the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones, they are good, but not in everything. First about thecomns. I was very upset with the sound, or rather the frequency balance, the sound is like that of a cheap Chinese headset, whistling and hissing sounds hurt the ears, there was nothing like this in the AKG 361BT, I found a frequency response diagram on the Internet and looking at it set up an equalizer in a proprietary application. After that, the sound became good, not great, but pleasant. The second minute is a low maximum volume, and again my AKGs outperform them, the phone clogs Sony headphones twice, but in AKG there is no hint of clogging. This is probably all of the minuses. From the pros. The detail is amazing, great scene, volume (with a built-in equalizer). Noise reduction also works without listening to music, for example, if you want to sit in silence, turn on your headphones and read a book, or you can just lie down. There is a built-in proprietary high-resolution LDACcomdec, a dubious thing in general, AKG on AAC sound great, and Sony only on LDAC. They sit very nicely on the head, stop playback when removing the headphones and other pleasant little things. As a result, I highly recommend adjusting the equalizer, since the sound initially cuts the ears and spoils the impression of the headphones. If you value sound quality, then do not use the dual devicecomnnection function, since only the AACcomdec works in this mode. Turning on any enhancer and noise reduction spoils the sound quality (except for the equalizer). As an example, the noise reduction is turned off, you turn on your favorite tracks, turn on the noise reduction while listening and notice how the mids have risen, and the deep elastic bass has turned into a blurry thump.
