They need to be assembled which is very simple. They don't last more than a few hours in a drink though - they do get a bit soggy (they're as strong as paper, making them more eco-friendly compared to plastic). The presentation is excellent, very festive and fun. Allow about 10-15 minutes to put them together. They come with small dots of glue to stick the decoration onto the straw. It definitely added some fun to the party theme!
