I love that it has a wide headband to protect my baby from the sun. The perforated holes in the cap keep my baby's head cool. The chin strap is a plus, but doesn't stop my child from pulling it off his head every now and then. However, the hat stays on most of the time. I have washed it several times in a laundry bag and air dried it. The hat still looks good. I often get compliments on how cute the hat looks on my child. There aren't that many color options for boys, so I went with a light brown color. It almost looks like a cowboy hat. Size 12-24 months is still a bit big for my 1 year old. Every now and then I have to pull him away to cover his eyes. But I assume that after a while he will grow into it.
