Review on Voxelab Aquila M Removable Carborundum Printing Surface - High Precision 220X220X250Mm Build Area by Ronnie Segobiano

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The perfect first time 3D printer for those who want to get into 3D printing and get the X2 model!

What is the main reason for buying this printer? Well, actually there are 3 good reasons! 1. Great price for a full-featured printer that comes out of the box (just need to level the bed first)2. Excellent printing results (no matter how many features, the quality of the printed object is the most important) 3. Detailed step-by-step online manuals for this printer (more on that in a moment). The X2 fixes very few issues with the original model. I think the X2 has plenty of "internal" upgrades, but the most obvious are the inclusion of a filament run out sensor (which pauses a print job until you thread the filament), which could be a lifesaver if the filament runs out after many hours of printing - an improved extruder mechanism - metal carrying handle on top of the printer - vertical panel mounting, more compact fit and more like the Ender 3 V2 series but closer to offer an even smaller overall footprint. I researched extensively for over a week to buy my first 3D printer, the Prusa i3 was recommended by many but was expensive (nearly five times the price of the Aquila X2) and the head start was an even bigger issue. Delivery time, a couple of weeks or more at best, I was itching to get to work. Another benefit of this printer is that the stepper motors are virtually silent, the only sound coming from the spinning fan on the printer body, and while it's a bit high, the noise level drops sharply the further away it is from the printer. I strongly recommend you to search Voxelab Aquila X2 on Youtube. You will find a video comparing it to the original Voxelab Aquila. Once you find it (hint: they send SOS) watch other videos there. You'll find a step-by-step bed leveling guide (one of the best in my opinion) and more for the original Aquila and the newer X2. When my printer arrived I assembled it in no time, followed the bed alignment guide, loaded the filament pattern and printed a test pattern onto the included microSD card, everything came out perfect (picture attached). Printer, just "BUY", you will not regret it!
