Review on Handcrafted AHZI Spider Surprise Rubber by Matthew Harris

This spider box is well made; Palm sized, not too big, not too small, real wood. Sympathetic feeling. But I still have to give one star: The mechanism is dimensioned in such a way that the "spider" just jumps out after the lid has opened almost 3/4 of the way in its sliding movement. By this time, everyone had already noticed the spider. It goes very slowly around the curve of the box. In other words, you see it coming closer from a mile away. And it is NOT all of a sudden! If they placed the axle a bit further back it would work much better. It's a shame. I liked it. But"shock" or"shrik". No, that is not so! More like a glider running around the corner.
