Review on SwissGear 1900 Scansmart Laptop Backpack Backpacks and Laptop Backpacks by Travis Rio

NO EDGE PADDING

First of all, this bag doesn't protect your laptop from anything except if someone hits you from behind. Once you've got your pack off, you MUCH BETTER have to make sure you lower it down very slowly. The bottom and side edges of the laptop bag are completely unpadded. Second, let's address the main advertised feature of this bag, that it opens like cutting a steak with a bow tie, ostensibly on behalf of the TSA. Thing is, the TSA doesn't care how cool your bag opens, you STILL HAVE TO REMOVE YOUR LAPTOP. These are all US airports. Calling it TSA doesn't really mean anything. You could also call it a Power Ranger bag. It's like they picked something that "looks fancy" but did no other testing than how well it could impress people who just wear it. It holds up well and the strap design is nice so I can't give it a star but I didn't pay that much for something you can buy on Canal Street.

Pros
  • As always
Cons
  • For seniors
