Review on Cat6A Shielded Riser (CMR) by Corey Singh

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great but requires skill

This shielded CAT 6A coil offers excellent value for money. I've used this particular strain to connect my entire house, including external PoE cameras. The cable is quite thick and requires a properly sized Keystone and/or RJ45 connector. Bending and preparing the wire takes a bit of getting used to due to the thickness. However, once you understand this, it becomes manageable. I've tested the bandwidth over 100 feet at 10Gbps with no loss of attenuation.

Pros
  • 1000 feet Cat 6A (CMR) Shielded Vertical Cable, 4 unshielded twisted pairs with an overall foil shield around every 4 pairs, 23 AWG, solid copper conductors for optimum signal level. Get 3-5 dB more headroom over EIA/TIA-568.2-D standards. Suitable for PoE, PoE+, PoE++. The only shielded vertical Cat6A cable with UL-LP certification for safety requirements in high power and high heat environments. Our Cat6A cable was tested with the Fluke DSX-8000 Versiv Cable Analyzer.
Cons
  • Style 90
