OK, update. I've had them for less than a month and although I was very careful, today one of them slipped out of my ear and completely disappeared. It was a very expensive experiment. Sigh. I've recently started wearing a second hole earring and wanted something I wouldn't have to constantly take off. The pearls in my photo were the first ones and they are pretty but a bit big if I wear the earring on both occasions. So I went for these white gold earrings. They are the perfect size and at least the way I wear them feels secure in my ears. When I flip them they tend to snag on my braid and it's annoying but that's my problem too. Overall, I'm very happy with this little gift to myself.
