Works great but will need outside maintenance to last a long time

I bought these to put up do not enter signs to keep dogs off the chain link fence. The summers get really hot where I live so I'm curious to see how well these ties hold up. Do they become brittle? I will update my review if they don't hold up well over time. They were easy to use to attach signs to the fence.
