Review on Streamlined and Stylish: Slim Bifold Wallets for Men - Essential Men's Accessories by Kenny Stephens

Mine arrived damaged. Bad quality control. I do not recommend.

I totally agree with the minimal wallet. Pockets seem to get smaller, especially in skinny jeans, so a fat wallet is an heirloom. All you need is a credit card or two, insurance cards, and a driver's license. Some cash is a bonus that you can take with you as tips or for emergencies. This wallet was beautifully packaged and I expected to give it high marks like most of the other reviewers here. The final cover is thin tissue paper with a sticker to attach it around the wallet. When I removed this sticker, I was supposed to apply it carefully, I noticed a stain underneath. I assumed it must be a sticky glue. Unfortunately there was no destination! I don't know if there was enough glue to tear off some of the exterior faux leather or if it was just damaged, but no one bothered to take it off the assembly line. What definitely scares me is how thin the outer shell is made of plastic or some other material. Didn't think it would carry well in everyday use, especially with keys or whatever in a pocket. The overall design seems well thought out, with enough pockets for those few cards and ID and a detachable money clip. That pull tab that helps you pull out one or more cards depending on what you have in them works, but I'm not sure if it's really necessary. Very disappointed. I was sent this wallet for evaluation and an objective opinion. Without a doubt, most of the good reviews were written shortly after receiving the wallet and were impressed with its initial presentation. As said, based on what I'm seeing, I don't think this will hold up well over time. Looking again, I see another small gap in the outer fabric along the stitch line under the pull tab on the opposite side of the wallet! That's the beauty of real leather as opposed to those synthetic materials with artificial finishes. Genuine leather can scratch, stretch, or rub, but it doesn't come right out of the box. I'm sorry but I don't recommend it.

Pros
  • Very thin wallet but looks solid. I'll see how long that lasts.
Cons
  • Can be uncomfortable sitting in back pocket
