I bought this for my seven year old daughter. She is thin for her age but can usually wear 7-8 garments with ease. She helped choose this swimsuit based on the photos but unfortunately when it arrived it was huge! Size aside, this is a good suit. We have a pool and spend a lot of time on the river in our canoe so I like the long sleeve option for sun protection. The long sleeves protect it from chafing from the lifebuoy when we canoe or fish. The short bottom is good when we want to stop for a drink or something after a long day on the river. Quality seems good - all stitching is solid and the zipper works. Polka dots and a small ruffle are nice details, but the shirt can be easily closed over the ruffle. I put this box in the attic and am planning to have my daughter try it on again next year. Overall I recommend the suit but you may need a fallback if it doesn't fit! My daughter is scouting and they have strict swimsuit modesty standards, so I liked this style for both the sun protection and because it met the standards for her unit.
