I use this new strap 95% of the time with a Canon 5DIV with a 24-70L II lens. Instead of bearing the weight on the neck or shoulder, this strap rests on the top of the arm in contact with the shoulder. I carry my camera lower than most, so raising the camera to eye level can be an issue as the strap sometimes falls off my shoulder. To prevent this, I tighten the tape before taking the picture. After a while I figured out how to keep the strap up all the time. I can sometimes add a thin arm strap (some photographers like to have extra protection under the arm) but now that I'm holding the camera 3-4 hours per session this strap is comfortable and well made as have all my Black Fast Straps. I do not recommend using this strap if you plan to walk or run for any length of time. There are other, more reliable belts for this. This strap is designed for event/portrait work.
