Review on πŸ’¨ Precision & Speed: Logitech MX Master Wireless Mouse with Adaptive Scroll Wheel for Multi-Device Use by Micha Kochaski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best thing for the money, glad I did it.

Despite the fact that I purchased the mouse with the expectation that it would be silent, I am quite happy with it. The keystrokes are not obnoxious and can be heard but do not make a lot of noise. For 7850r, I was anticipating considerably lower performance. At this pricing point, the mouse is head and shoulders above similar products in terms of both its design and its programmatic and functional capabilities. Buying is something I highly encourage doing. Be sure to pay attention to the postscript S in the name of the mouse. Although they appear to be the same, if you remove the postscript S, the mouse is much noisier and is already a little bit out of date.

Pros
  • Logitech Mx Master 3S mouse, gray version 0. The cost that one would have had to pay in order to get 7850 on March 21st, 2023. 1. It can be used immediately after being opened. 2. The process of installing proprietary software involves a comprehensive training session, during which functions are assigned to various keys and wheels. 3. The assigned keys function just as they should. 4. The sound of the primary buttons is quiet; it is not completely silent, but it is quiet enough that it is not noticeable while the device is being operated. 5. This scroll wheel, both vertically and horizontally, is very fascinating. The vertical wheel can either rotate with clear cut-offs or in a totally smooth manner. Both choices are available. Both variations of rotation are able to undergo significant twisting and scroll over enormous amounts of text (it possesses inertial rotation after a vigorous "start"). Scrolling through tabs in the browser is made easier with the help of the horizontal wheel. The wheel spins easily and may be maneuvered around with little effort. 6. The mouse's weight is more on the hefty side. There will be no erroneous movements when the mouse is held in the hand due to its weight (this only applies to mice with a low weight). 7. There is a function for making gestures located on the lower left side of the device under the thumb. In addition to this, you are able to configure actions within the branded application. 8. A branded application does not use up a significant amount of a computer's resources (unlike Razer software and other programs), it hangs in the background without interfering with work, and it does not run in the foreground. 9. Ergonomic design that is comfortable for right-handed people with medium to large sized hands. 10. The feet of the mouse glide smoothly on most surfaces. 11. I became accustomed to the mouse pretty fast; although I've only been using it for a little over a month in total, it feels like I've been using it for several months. 12. The Bluetooth mode of the mouse has been used for three weeks without the battery needing to be recharged, and it was charged for the first time immediately after purchase for thirty-five to forty-five minutes. The charge is still in place like a beast. 13. The USB adapter is a compact device that will not protrude very far from the computer or laptop. 14. The mouse may operate wirelessly via Bluetooth or a USB adapter, or it can operate wired while it is charging. 15. The colors are beautiful. Wheels are made of metal and have a soft light gray tone. 16. A fairly high DPI, which is sufficient for any undertaking. 17. The back and forward buttons on the left side of the device do not produce false positives, despite the fact that the thumb is continuously resting on them.
Cons
  • 1. The mouse insists that it is silent, yet it isn't really silent at all. The sounds of the keyboard are always audible. The mouse is quiet but not silent. It's possible that this is the mouse's most significant drawback. The remainder is irrelevant to the discussion. 2. The horizontal wheel takes some getting accustomed to at first because of its unusual orientation. Although it makes perfect sense, the scrolling action requires you to bring your thumb up, which is neither very comfortable nor very habitual. 3. Following the completion of the whole button remapping, there will be a period of time lasting several days during which the new assignments will be practiced. 4. The vertical scroll wheel is simple to use, and you can scroll through the pages with a good deal of force provided that your finger does not rest on it. You will need to get used to it and refrain from touching it unless absolutely necessary. 5. The scrolling action of the vertical wheel appears to be hindered by its excessive forward motion. With just a little bit of rotation, you'll be able to scroll between anywhere from five to seven sheets in Word. It will function flawlessly if you scroll by using only two or three clicks. 6. The USB adaptor is a discrete device due to its modest size. It would be ideal if it could correspond to the color of the mouse, but unfortunately it does not correspond to any of the colors. 7. Only those who write with their right hand should continue.
