My husband ordered this butter dish for me after I told him I was sad that I had accidentally broken the bottom half of my previous double rod butter dish. He looked on Amazon and bought this one. I was skeptical at first as it didn't look as good as the butter dish. I was wrong - this is an amazing butter dish. The ribs are on the outside of the bottom and top, making the top easy to grab and remove. The edges of the cap fit into the raised lip at the bottom of the lubricator, preventing oil from splashing onto the inside edge of the cap. It fits perfectly in a full 1 pound Kerry butter bar with little space around the butter. And it's strong! Plus it looks great on the counter :). I definitely recommend this one.
