I first used them in North Dakota about five years ago. Who knew I'd need them here in the middle of Texas? For real? It was the coldest winter in Texas history. There was more snow, ice, freezing temperatures, etc. than anyone in Texas had ever seen in their lifetime. Anyway, FEMA bought hundreds of these things back in the day to prevent breaches out there in North Dakota. So it wasn't hard for me to get some when heading north here this year. I wish I had received them sooner. Once I fell and broke my butt before they arrived. But not after. They stretch over your shoes and the carbon steel spikes dig into the ice like a cat's claw. No more slipping or slipping. These cats from AGOOL are real lifesavers. Excellent purchase. Five stars.
