Is this sunscreen or dried white paint?

First time I used this product I was amazed! It went on a little white but after rubbing it in it dried clear. It was great and felt like I had nothing on. Compared to traditional chemical sunscreen it was great. No greasy feeling, no sunscreen smell, I thought it was a miracle product. I spent two hours in the sun kayaking and then went inside for the day. Later that night I had some pretty bad sunburn on my arms and legs. I will admit, I am fair-skinned and usually need a 50 to survive in California's sun so I attributed the burn to that mostly. I figured I'd try it again but make sure I applied a but more since the first time I felt like I had gone too light. That brings me to my second use. I don't know what happened to this product, but I fell like it changed for my second use. I shook it up, like I did the first time, and then sprayed one line of it at the same distance I sprayed the first time. It came out much thicker and whiter and even after aggressively rubbing it in I was left with a splotchy white cast all over my body. I know with zinc sunscreen that can happen but it's instense. Even my husband who had rubbed it on my back last time agreed that this time it seemed different. I continued to try rubbing it in to get rid of the cast and it actually started flaking off. sunscreen definitely shouldn't flake off your body like that. is there even any sunscreen left there now?It was okay the first time, just not sure what happened to it in the two weeks since I used it last. They market it as sheer, which they really shouldn't, especially if it's going to make me look like I rolled around in white paint, you know? Definitely going to look for something else, because this product is make me looking even more pale than I ready am, and the sun protection is meh. Keep looking if you're thinking about buying this.

Pros
  • Hypoallergenic and non-irritating
Cons
  • The spray may be difficult to use on children with curly or thick hair
