Bought a size 10 for an 8 year old who wears a few 8s but mostly 10s. The daughter barely held back her skirt lest it fall straight to the floor. I (mom) tried on the skirt for comparison and it fit well (like women's size 8). I'm 5'10" and 150 pounds and the skirt fits just below my knees. The material is comfortable and looks good but seems to snag easily. I will be buying a smaller size for my daughter as I think that the skirt is versatile (can be easily pulled on or unbuttoned) and is cute.
