First of all my daughter doesn't like lying on her tummy. She is 6 months old and would rather sit than lie on her stomach and roll over. When we received this blanket, it stayed on its stomach for 15-20 minutes! I was surprised. I had one for my oldest daughter but this one is definitely improved with a mirror and rattles. My child lay there pushing the water back and forth and looking at himself in the mirror. She hasn't quite opened the rattles yet, but she liked the sound of me knocking them for her. The only problem I've found so far is that the mirror doesn't hold up well. If you put enough air in the outside edge to support it, the mat will start rotating on its own. Maybe if I add more water it will stick better. We will continue to use it no matter what because she really seems to be enjoying it. A very sad update. After just two days we discovered a few tiny holes on the back of the carpet. Luckily we put it on a waterproof playmat but I'm sorry we can't use it anymore. The holes look wrinkled when it was in the box, so take care when you take it out.
