Review on BEHRINGER UM2 Audio Interface with XLR/TRS, 1/4", USB, and RCA – Black, 1-Channel by Michael Baek ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

I needed a soundtrack to finish the bass for the album at home. There is not much choice - Behringer is the only one in its price category. I asked the seller - between the UM2 and UMC22 models, the difference is only in the microphone gain. Well, yes, I don’t need it, why overpay, I took a cheaper model. I was afraid of reviews on the Internet - both on and in online stores. Like, the sound is bad, hisses, drivers can not be found. COMPLETE BULLSHIT! Who said there are no drivers on the Behringer website? Where are your eyes? In , type "behringer um2 driver" - the first line will give the official site! From there I downloaded the driver! Everything got up great, rebooted, in the sound recording settings, the behringer line input automatically stood up by default. I set up the parameters, turned on audacity, sat down to write - and then it gives out delays with sound and crackles. But this does not apply to the map or to firewood! The noise is coming from somewhere on the laptop. I turned off the charging, poked out all the usb devices except for the sound - the crackles disappeared. Perfectly clear sound, but with delays. I got into the settings, by trial and error I set the buffer to 40ms and the compensation to -80ms. Voila! Everything works perfectly! Who writes bad reviews on this device - remember the saying! Nothing to kick on the mirror!

Pros
  • Price quality
Cons
  • If you do not understand the sound - you have to tinker.
