Review on 🧡 Premium Needle Felting Pad: 8x10x1 inch, 100% Natural Wool, Ideal for Precision Felting by Michelle Langley

DO NOT BUY. Contains serious botanicals in the pad!

I bought this rug based on the reviews. Of the many different options for needle felt pillows, this pillow is one of the (if not the most expensive) pillows. I mistakenly thought that high price means high quality. BIG MISTAKE. This cushion contains a significant amount of coarse plant matter (VM) embedded within, and particularly at the top. It looks like it fell to the barn floor, with bits of grass stuck to it straight from the new packaging. Upon closer inspection, the matte clearly shows this debris in the layers and also deep in the middle. This is completely unacceptable for a felt carpet. it looks like as if they had just taken whatever cheap unwashed wool they could get their hands on and pressed it into a pillow. Maybe it's because they sell needles and want you to break the needles (and therefore have to buy more) when you hit a rough patch of grass? I'd go back in a heartbeat, but the class demo I bought it for requires me to use it anyway. And I used it! AS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT NOT TO BUY. Included is a photo of this pad *after* spending an hour cleaning it! Edit 8/16/19 I now see that the manufacturer has rewritten their description and added the information that "due to the nature of this product there will be some material on the pad, which is a normal and inevitable by-product of natural wool. "Eh, no! This rug positions itself as a premium quality rug made from premium wool. Premium quality, first choice wool contains *NO* coarse VMs. Shame on the sellers who are obviously trying to lie and say that VM is inevitable when it absolutely can (and should!) be completely removed from the wool felt before pressing.
