In front of the leg pads, my washing machine rattled, rattled, and rolled so hard I could hear the beer bottles in my fridge singing. From across the house I knew when the washing machine was on its final spin. A leg was broken and even a broken leg was repaired promptly. My washing machine is so quiet now and picks it up so it's a win, a win.
