The monitor is good as I expected from Viewsonic. Very clearly. Well calibrated. What is not very good is the lack of instructions on how to connect it to a computer. My previous Viewsonics were plug and play so there were no issues. It is not so. When I connected it to my computer I had a black screen. Tried on 3 computers, all black screen. Searched the internet to find many others with the same problem but no solution. There is NOTHING in the manual/documentation about this. When I tried to figure it out I found 5 buttons on the back right side of the monitor. There is NO mention of these buttons in their documentation and no explanation of how to use them. Maybe they think everyone is a computer scientist and knows what they're doing. After experimenting with this, I found that a button selects an input connector like HDMI, mini-HDMI, etc. Surprisingly, once I choose the right one, the desktop appears. My problem with Viewsonic is that they don't have instructions for the average computer user on how to do this. Why? I just can't understand it. That would save many hours of fiddling around. You think they'll explain what all those buttons do.
