I rated this unit OK because it looks good. However, if I had rated it for ease of assembly, the score would have been lower. I bought two and I have to admit that the second one went much better, but that was only with additional tools, knowledge and skills (and not mine). Hardware is your main software stuff with bad threads. I would say 20-25% of bolts get stuck entering locks. (I learned early on that every screw and fastener must be carefully inspected before use.) I discovered this early in the process when the bolt went in far enough to be fully seated (no further in or out). Luckily I have a friend who has the tools, the know-how, and the desire to get the stuck screw out. (with a Dremel saw, etc.). He then removed the protruding screws/fasteners and re-tightened them. I also had a piece of wood (well pressed material that looks like wood) (used too much torque for that bad bolt). This required some disassembly, glue and clips etc to fix. So if you have good skills, tools and patience, go for it. (I would recommend testing each screw and fastener before using them to fasten wood.) If you only have a screwdriver, you might be in luck (75% of the screws/fasteners were fine). If not, good luck!
