Okay let me start this review by saying that a belt like this would literally cost over $250 in a bridal shop; It's absolutely ridiculous and you don't have to pay more than what Amazon is selling. Second, I was looking for something that would not only add extra chic but also help me create the illusion of an hourglass figure. You know exactly what I'm talking about, for us ladies who have hips but no waist, THIS IS YOUR ANSWER. Placing it a few inches below the chest will automatically create an hourglass. Please. I spent hours looking for the right colors and the right crystals; I say this because my dress was cream colored and I already had a hat with gold trimmings so I needed a belt to match. It was perfect! I didn't try to iron it, instead we sewed the center to the center of my dress where we didn't want it to move. We then created two small loops for the rest of the cord. We did this so on our wedding day we could TIE the ribbon and REALLY give me a little extra energy to create that hourglass that I desperately wanted but didn't have. We placed the second set of loops where the zipper was as I had a low-cut dress; This allowed the band to follow the line of the back of the dress. I hope this makes sense and gives some ideas on how to use it without losing the ability to pull the ribbon a bit. But seriously, if you read this far and like me read EVERY review, DON'T SLEEP ON IT! I've spent HOURS searching and reading reviews so you don't have to :)
