I'm a traveling teacher who needs to attend classes virtually which requires more USB connections. This allowed me to connect all the devices I needed. I noticed that the charging cable connected to my computer is of a certain type. Worked fine for my Lenovo but I don't think it will work for something like a Mac because the power connector is different. It also allowed me to connect my computer via Ethernet for unstable WiFi areas. I was also able to connect a second monitor. And if I had a third monitor, I would have such an opportunity! (My husband wants to "borrow" it to me for this reason). There's a USB port for charging, but my husband, who works in IT, said it's not worth charging much. He was right, it's not some sort of fast charge, but it saved my phone from draining while I was using it. I wish the cable was longer because when I put my laptop on the stand it almost dangles. It barely touches the table but I guess if you have a flat computer this won't be a problem.
