Works same as Acer adapter. I have one of these at home and the other at the office and would have to unplug and examine a wart on the wall to see which is which. No, wait, except for one difference I just remembered: the barrel on this one is longer than the original, so it doesn't go in as fully as the Acer connector, and you're looking at about 1/8 inch or so of the silver barrel. shown outside the socket. It just looks weird the first time and then it doesn't matter. Just don't push it hard and expect it to keep going. It's simply longer than the depth of the socket. (There is a picture of a buyer showing this slight gap.) After reading the reviews here I figured it out before buying so fully expected. I suspect this will allow the adapter to be used on other devices with longer cylindrical jacks, optimizing production efforts and reducing costs for customers. Don't let that put you off buying this - it will definitely work perfectly.
