Review on CONIE Filter Micron Opening Aquarium by Nikki Lewis

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Waste of money for fish and aquatic animals

I had 200 micron mesh socks in my filter in front of my fleece roller filter which filters at 50 microns. I wanted to try them with a slightly smaller 180 micron to pull a little more in front of the fleece to increase the durability of my fleece rolls. I put on my fishnet sock and slipped one on, it floated out. I think maybe the head warped a little, tried another, swam. I tried the third one, it seems normal, and then I started swimming at night. Instead of my fleece only getting 180 microns or less, it got everything. This product was a waste of the money I spent on it but also wasted money on the fleece roll. I decided to put some of my carrier on the rim to hold the sock and let it do its job, it picked up almost nothing when I checked it the next day. I replaced the 200 microns I had and it caught more in 12 hours than this in a day even though it was less than a micron. I think the actual micron rating they have isn't the same either. To collect less than 200 microns of socks, it should be 250-300 microns at best.
