This is the first watch I have bought. I really like the elegant look of this watch. I use this watch regularly for a couple of weeks before putting it aside for a while. I take care of the watch, but I don't really protect this watch. There was not a single scratch on the dial of the watch, but after 8 years the strap started to soften. I liked that this watch is perfect for people with thin wrists like me, but it's still a decidedly masculine watch. The shade of red at the end of the seconds hand stands out against the black dial. Numerals, hours, minutes and seconds hands are chrome-plated and shiny. The Skagen logo on the dial is also silver. It also has a date window at the bottom of the dial that displays the date in black text on a white background. haven't had any problems so far. DIMENSIONS Case diameter: 37mm Band width: 22mm Number of holes: 8 Each hole is spaced just under 8mm apart. Watch circumference at outermost hole: 8 inches Watch circumference at innermost hole: 6 inches. 6 year mark, bracelet started to tear. There are no seams on the strap and it looks like the two layers of the strap are glued together. This seems to be a common problem with these watches. However, I ordered a bracelet for this watch. Genuine leather Skagen watch strap. It doesn't look quite like the original, but it's good enough. The great thing about changing the strap is that the strap is screwed down with tiny screws so it was fairly easy to remove the screws and swap out the strap rather than trying to press the strap pin like some other watches do is. BATTERY REPLACEMENT I also had to replace the batteries on this watch. This watch came with Sony 364 (aka SR621SW battery) Sony 364 (SR621SW) 1.55V Silver Oxide 0%Hg Mercury-free watch battery (5 batteries). Although other brands sell the same batteries, I was able to snag a Sony battery at a very reasonable price. There was a problem installing the back cover. Other watches have allowed me to snap the case back open by hand, but for these I had to purchase a watch press.
