First impression ahead of this weekend's flagship deployment: Isolation seems good, headphones are snug on head (almost too snug). The components appear to be of good quality. The powerful tones of my TYT MD-380 radio sound strong. One downside is that the headband isn't tool-free adjustable (I'm used to the adjustable Velcro on overhead models). Also, the headset's volume control is obscured by the mic boom when you raise the boom when you're not speaking, a minor distraction. Waiting to see if the pad fits the headband or not - when you push it in it sounds like all the air is coming out of the pads. The sturdy wireless cable that I bought with this headset also seems great. Usage update: The headset worked great over a two day race weekend. Blocked out engine noise well and was loud enough to hear radio traffic over the din of racing. Outside of normal use in hot environments, the headset has never been uncomfortable. The padding on the headband was fine and caused no discomfort when worn. I am happy with my purchase. Will be updated when I can test the mic in a broadcast situation.
