Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great, well thought out for travel

This rating is for the 14 inch model. I have a new 13" MacBook Pro and needed something for air travel. I wanted it to be big enough to fit some easily accessible items while flying, but small enough to fit under the seat in front of me. This thing is perfect and it has some very nice if not great details it has two parts a large one where the handles are located and a smaller one that is in front let's start with a small section if you are looking at the picture you can see that the outer panel next to the zippers at the top has what looks like a decorative C-stitch, it's actually a pocket opening perfect for storing quick access items like a passport or tickets Pocket is the full size of the front of this section, measuring approximately 8" x 13". Pockets (open) measuring 4" x 2" and 4" x 10". Located on the opposite side of this compartment itself an organizer with 3 pen slots, 2 USB stick slots, an SD card slot and a business card slot. It also has 3 Velcro flap pockets, one measuring 5.5" x 5" and two measuring approximately 5.5" x 2.25". And of course, inside between these two panels, there is a small section that can be used for papers, magazines, etc. as well as many other things you have in the inner pockets of this section. Let's move on to the larger main section of the grips. Someone really thought when designing these pens! Usually in such a case there are two handles with a Velcro tab that wraps around them to hold them together. Of course, this valve is a headache when you need to pack something in and out of your suitcase. These handles are folded in at the top so that the two handles naturally overlap and sort of fit inside each other. They have magnets in them holding them together like Velcro. But they open and close very quickly and easily without resorting to Velcro, and they're comfortable too. Great design! The main feature of the large piece is that it has a zip to split the bag in half to lay flat for shielding on the plane. The lightning bolt icons in this section have a small airplane icon so you can quickly identify and distinguish them from other nearby lightning bolts. Nice gesture! If you're pre-admitted you might not need this feature, but it can also be used as an extra compartment for some thin items like paper or magazines. Also if you want to take advantage of this feature, it has a Velcro flap pocket on the front of the split section for storing thin items. The interior of this split section measures approximately 15" x 10.5". The computer bag is a good size and VERY over the top for my 13 inch MacBook Pro. But it is well designed and has shock absorbing velcro straps on the bottom and both ends. With them, it looks like you can fit a computer measuring around 13.5 x 10.5 x 2 inches. If you remove them you can probably get an extra inch in each direction. The last pocket in the large section is the front pocket just behind the small section. It includes a padded pouch with Velcro closure for a tablet measuring approximately 10.5" x 8.25". I can easily fit my 9" iPad in a protective case. The rest of this compartment has a semi-rigid file folder divider with jumpers on each end, so you can't fully open this compartment once the zip is unzipped. Obviously, it's for storing folders or other flat items. Two accessories are packed inside the bag. One is a zippered pocket with mesh on one side. your laptop. This is a completely separate item, so you can put it anywhere in your bag. Another Accessory is the shoulder strap. The hooks on this one look very solid and much more durable than what I'm used to from cheaper bags. The shoulder pad has 2 spots where it tapers allowing the center section to tilt to one side or the other to accommodate your shoulder incline This makes it very comfortable as you don't hit your shoulders with one side in. shoulder with all the weight. All in all a great bag that ticks all the boxes for me. Love it!
