I'm a big fan of mesh and back diffusers and was excited to see a great DIY fabric. I bought a 1 yard x 60 inch sheet. The quality isn't the best - compared to other diffusion sheets and softbox canvases (from Fotodiox, Lastolite and other small companies) the diffusion isn't the best. I found them to be much more transparent (you can clearly see what's on the other side) rather than diffusing it further like others do. For example, if I have an LED panel behind a Fotodiox diffuser, it looks like one big light source. With Alzo, you can clearly see each LED. was truncated by a significant amount (about a stop). So make sure you have a sufficiently bright power source. Definitely better than nothing and for the price it's a great product. If you want the same quality as homemade to pair with store bought stuff I haven't found it to match ie. H. Light quality was softer than direct light, but I didn't feel like it was diffused like other diffusers.
