You have to be careful not to mix up the threads, it can easily happen if you're not careful. A gauge on either of these types is not very accurate, but is fairly reproducible. So still use your gauge to determine the correct fill point. I had 30 to get 29 pounds and about 57 to get 60. Definitely better than running the compressor and stretching the air line just to fill up. Definitely two thumbs up from me.
