Review on πŸͺ’ Braun Epilator Silk Γ‰pil: The Ultimate Cordless Rechargeable Shaver and Hair Removal Device for Women by Mary Arakaki

Revainrating 5 out of 5

What was Brown thinking? Stupid "improvement "

Hate 9. I had Silk-epil 7 and liked it; After 2 years of weekly use (yes, my hair grows fast, but I can actually go a few days without epilation - freedom!) the tweezers lost some of their grip and started pulling and tearing at the hair. out. Unkind. I decided to "upgrade" to 9. Hey, this is newer; it's improved, isn't it? 9 is terrible. Of course she has a 40% wider head, but the same 42 tweezers. Those 42 tweezers are now spread, meaning fewer tweezers are rotating over each point. It's like switching from a 3-blade razor to a 1-blade razor. I have to go through the same spot several times and much more slowly. Epilation takes twice as long with the 9, and tweezers just aren't as efficient at pulling hair out. At 9 I had more damaged follicles than I ever had at 7. So many hairs just peel off the surface and I get these horrible red tender patches (for lack of a better word). The nine is worse than my seven, even in its current faded state. Serious? What fool decided it was a good idea to spread the same 42 tweezers over more space? If you want to do this, you need to add more to the queue. I mean. Wow, maybe even 62 tweezers - hands off! Don't be crazy, Brown. Don't do anything useful. Let's face it, 42 tweezers was pretty pathetic at first. Grab the 7 and save some money while the overpaid engineers at Braun try to figure it out. *smdh Maybe 10 would be a real improvement. This review was more about dumb design. If you've never epilated before, it's going to hurt. They pull hair out of the follicles. Spirit. get ready for it suck it It's worth it in the long run. Of course, I went through the initial hell with the Epilady role in the early 1990s. THAT hurts now. I can't speak of wet use. Why would I stand in the shower for so long and waste water? I live in the desert and there is no unlimited supply of fresh water on the planet. If you take a bath, don't worry and try it. However, remember that wet hair (including legs) is more fragile. You run the risk of tearing it off on the surface and not pulling it out as it should. Of course, at 9 you still take risks.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
