The product was easy to assemble and after a few days my kitty started using it and seems to like it a lot like it. several problems. Basic. #1 - The padding that comes with the threshold is probably a bit softer than sandpaper. I would happily pay $4-5 to get this unit with very soft and comfortable padding and a stretch blanket for my kitty. Instead I had to buy an extra soft baby blanket for this bed. I didn't spend a lot of money on a blanket but it was just annoying. #2- Exactly 9 months after I bought this window bed, I was disgusted when I walked into my cat's room and found the window bed on the floor. READ THIS CAREFULLY. THE SUCTS DID NOT MISS > small plastic pins (sticks) broke in half causing the window bed to detach from the suction cups causing my cat to fall on the floor while still in bed. Not good. I called the company because the product is still under warranty. I was told they would send me 2 new pins immediately. No thank you. I went and bought 2 metal screws and 2 bolts to reattach the sill. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU DO THE SAME WHEN PURCHASING THIS PRODUCT OR REPLACING THE PINS IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THIS PRODUCT. My window bed hangs about 5 feet off the ground. I will not let my cat get hurt because those cheap plastic pegs fail. The advertising for this product claims it can hold up to 60 pounds. It failed at the 10 pound sphinx. 1 star.
