I have an electric car that I have been charging in the garage for a few years. I was recently informed by the manufacturer of my car that due to a possible fire related to a battery problem they are proposing to charge the car outdoors. I reinstalled the charger near the garage door and the GearIT extension cord allowed me to reach the existing 240v outlet that the charger was plugged into. I have found this power strip to have the correct NEMA connectors for my charger and exceed the maximum current requirements. I also liked the high visibility jacket which makes it easier to see at night.
