To be honest, the rave reviews that have been around here made me suspicious. Nothing good. I just got my TV and here's what I think about it. Delivery was a problem. Along with others I placed my order at the end of September with delivery within 3-4 weeks. In one week, the delivery time is 2-3 weeks. Around the time mine was due to ship, I received an email dated December 2nd. This turned out to be the delivery date, including ground transportation from Arizona. Disappointment about deliveries should probably apply to Haier. I suspect they had problems with the shipping dates. It is sad, because it's a really nice little TV. (My TV was manufactured in October 2008, so it doesn't look like an import issue.) I set mine up in minutes. Although the instructions are a little thin, they provide adequate step-by-step instructions to get you started. My TV received all local channels in analogue and digital format (HD and SD) only with the supplied whip antennas. This picture is blurry for analog channels, but who cares? They'll be gone in a few months anyway. The digital images are razor sharp, as is the sound. This is the best LCD picture I have ever seen. I bought my TV like everyone else to replace a small portable analog TV. My original reason was having a battery operated TV in case of a power outage, and, when I see the TV I'll probably put it in my bedroom to watch the ends of the show in bed. , components and power plugs are located on the sides of the TV, not on the back. All in all a good product at a reasonable price. Update: After a full charge, the battery lasted about 2 hours. The standby indicator on the front of the device serves as a battery indicator when the main power is off. The indicator dims as the battery charges, and turns off completely when the battery is fully charged. As long as there is no battery indicator, the low battery icon will flash on the screen when the battery is low. I turn my device off with the main power switch and it never loses its programming, it even remembers the last channel watched. The reviewer complains that it needs to be reprogrammed and must have had some other problem that caused this problem. I haven't found how to delete the channels found during auto scan that I don't want to watch. not me
