Works well in North Florida winters. My hands stayed warm on two occasions in the Hirschstall and that is my BIGGEST concern. No problems operating the mechanics of bolt-action rifles or lever-action rifles. BUT! You'll never stop worrying that male monster lurking just beyond that tree line heard the Velcro scratch your other glove! I personally don't think the deer care, but it should be your choice. I have big hands and an XXL glove would fit better. The thumb is a bit short, but that doesn't bother me. Merry Christmas!
