Best for Influencers

I'm a fan of Aputure products. They make pretty decent flashlights that are cheaper and more innovative than some big brands. I've seen many reviews of AL-MX. Every YouTuber loves to take it out of their pocket or toss it around to show off their size. And that's what attracted me too. Until I got it. I was hooked for about a week and even took it to show a group of other videographers on the set of a documentary for Mercedes. I've brought bigger flashlights but how cool was this little thing that fit in my pocket and didn't require a network connection. a source that fits in my camera bag (we had a great time walking and shooting) so I can be as mobile as possible. That's where the thing failed. It just wasn't bright enough when I moved it back, and when I moved it closer it was too harsh, even with a diffuser. I know I'm a bit picky, but for $150 I wanted this thing to be useful. home by pointing it at a much larger softbox that I can place very close to me (straight from the camera). All in all, this is a really nice item. The assembly is excellent. Super wearable. Variable temperature and even power increase. Lots of useful features, but I haven't used them nearly as much. In the end I just settled on a quality light or in a pinch a cheap $50 LED box that required a battery.
