I love this shoe rack. It took my friend and I 20 minutes to assemble and didn't miss a single hole or screw. A piece of wood started to crack a little when my friend tightened it, so make sure the screw lines up properly with the hole you drilled and be careful not to over-tighten. My boyfriend and I sat on it and it seems pretty sturdy. I weigh 175 pounds and sat comfortably on the bench. We put it next to the chair and I used it to place the remote when using the TV and even put my food plates on it for a second. Overall I like this shoe bench. I bought it so that guests would have a place to take off their hard-to-take-off shoes and a place to leave their shoes when they're visiting. I keep a pair of sandals in it so I have my shoes by the front door in case I need to rush out to pick up a package or food delivery. I recommend this product and give it 2 thumbs up for a good price and reliable performance!
