I ordered the xs/s waist trainer shaper to help provide me with compression, support, and protection from a kicking newborn after having a c-section. I'm 5'2" 114 lb pre-pregnancy, 118 lb postpartum. The xs/s definitely provides compression and the material is thick enough to provide protection as my incision area is still sensitive 6 weeks out. My other binders are now a bit too much support and also bulky under normal clothes. The ribs do poke me in my thighs sometimes when I sit, likely due to me having a shorter torso, but it doesn't really bother me. I imagine as I wear this, it will stretch out some and conform better to my shape making it even better. It feels good on--soft and supportive. It doesn't cinch in the middle to create a slimmer waist in case you're looking to buy this as a waist trainer or cincher, but it would work well to compress the pooch area for under clothes and provide some support. It makes me look as though I didn't just have a baby! I wouldn't recommend wearing it for more than 6-8 hrs if it's as tight as mine is.
