Keeps going out: Flying toys

I don't know if I have a defective device, but mine keeps going out. Even if I catch it when I throw like a boomerang, it turns off after 2 or 3 catches. Not sure what's going on. I was really looking forward to using it as a stress reliever but the fact that it keeps failing mid flight or after a hit or two makes me more stressed than when I started lol.
