Review on GigaTent Portable Changing Dressing Carrying by Chris Quinto

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A great portable dressing room for dance teams at parades!

I bought this retractable pod to use as a portable dressing room for my daughter's dance group. They're used to changing in cars or in the back of trucks, but sometimes the costumes make it really hard! I bought this tent as an easy way to provide privacy when trying to gather at campsites or along parade routes. The girls were so excited when I made it to the first parade! Here's how it turns out: to save time we didn't fasten it, but when it's windy someone will put their foot on a small pocket-like fastener at the bottom, which is enough to keep it from tipping over. The zipper sticks out a bit here and there, but we still only open and close it halfway, so it doesn't really bother us. I'll try rubbing beeswax on the glued areas and see if that helps. There is enough space inside so even our tallest girls have enough room to change and move freely. It slides easily out of the bag with a zip, but some sort of suction holds it together a bit when unfolded. It takes 2 people to push the last 2 panels apart, once from each end, otherwise the panel will close again. Like static cling or something! Once opened, it stays open effortlessly. Easy to assemble or stand still without pegs. Closing is easy but confusing. I'm following the instructions and it still takes me a few tries to get everything right, but if you get it right everything will slide right. Easily slips back into your pocket once it regains its round shape. We all recommend this changing pad and have recommended it to several dance or exercise teams who have asked us for it at parades. I'll buy a second one next year!
