A very nice upgrade to the TC-05!

I bought a Dog Care TC-05 electronic collar a few months ago and am very happy with it, apart from its uncomfortable, overly sensitive shock adjustment mechanism. It required two hands to adjust, making it impossible to change on the fly when I was training my crazy German shepherd puppy. When this updated model became available, I decided to give it a try. I'm very pleased with the improvements made, the most notable of which is that the simple dial has now replaced the clumsy adjustment mechanism used on the TC-05. Compared to the TC-05, this remote is shorter, slightly thicker, and 1 ounce heavier. When spinning the static intensity wheel, the stops between power levels are small and imperceptible. The wheel feels hard and does not spin when lightly brushed. The presence of the dial now allows you to change the static intensity on the fly with one hand. The button icons have changed on the newer model, but the button layout hasn't changed (aside from removing the outdated "level" button), so it was very easy to become familiar with the remote by touch. On the remote control, the LED only lights up when the device is charging or when the intensity control is turned. The receiver that the dog wears is much smaller than the old model but comparably heavy. On the previous model, the collar strap wrapped around thin metal pins to attach the receiver to the collar. On the newer model, a nylon collar is attached to rubber tabs that protrude from the receiver. I'm not sure how the pieces are attached (fused together? glued? both?) and time will tell how strong these tabs are. The new model's static pins are about a quarter of an inch further apart. The charging indicator is now on top of the device instead of on the front. The charging port configuration has remained the same and looks identical to the previous model (the charging port cover broke off on my TC-05, so it is not visible in the photos). The remote control and receiver do not lose contact with each other even if one of them has been switched off for several minutes. There's no indicator on either the remote or receiver to show you how much battery is left until the dreaded flashing red light tells you it's time to charge. The package included a strap, 20-inch charging cable, and silicone caps for the shock pins. In the attached images, the TC-05 is on the left with a black strap, while this model's remote control has a black and blue strap. The TC-05 receiver is on the top, while this model's receiver is on the bottom with a beige rubber strap. This is a very good upgrade from the previous TC-05 model. It is much more convenient to use and I highly recommend it.!
