Review on LG 24GL650 B Ultragear FreeSync Response 23.6", 144Hz, Anti-Glare Coating, Wall Mountable, Height Adjustment, ‎24GL650-B, HDMI by Fred Nave

Just to clarify that this is an LG UltraGear 24GL600F-B review and not an LG 24GL650-BI review, I have to say that I love this monitor. I upgraded my monitor as soon as I bought a new graphics card for my computer and was able to get over 144 frames. It was available for $180 which I bought and it hasn't disappointed me yet. The setup on it is great, although mostly I use FPS or bright presets. I love the default reading mode, it really gives your eyes a rest after hours of gaming at max brightness. Which brings me to my next big plus; The brightness on this monitor is amazing. I've never enjoyed playing video games in low light as I tend to strain my eyes when looking in particularly dark places. This is not a problem with this monitor. I can play Call of Duty: Cold War with 30 brightness and still have enough brightness with my monitor at 80-100 brightness. It does its job and the transition from 75Hz to 144Hz is really night and day. Once you hit 144Hz, you'll never go below that level. Trust me this is from a 20 year old console gamer. The only thing that bothers me is that it's not height adjustable, but I knew I'd buy it. The table I bought was perfect as it came with a small stand that raised it to my eye level (as you can see in the photos below). It fits me perfectly as I'm quite tall too (6ft 6in). Overall, I love this monitor and would recommend it to anyone on a budget looking for a 144Hz monitor for under $200. Let me mention that I bought the LG 24GL650-B Height Adjustable Monitor 2 days ago as it was on sale for $170 and I wasn't impressed as it was significantly dimmer than the 24GL600F-B. Keep that in mind if you're really leaning towards height adjustable! Hope this review helps and have fun playing!
