REVIEW UPDATED: 5 STARS - 12/28/2018 After I got back the company contacted them and said they had a newer mount which they thought would work it would work . I was skeptical but everything is fine. It's been 3 days and the window hasn't cracked and it's still stuck as I mentioned. This suction doesn't have the sticky part that I think caused the problem before. They also provided a "mounting pad" if you need help installing it on your dash. I haven't needed that yet. I appreciate the company contacting me to resolve this issue. New Model #: ORIGINAL REVIEW: 3 STARS - 12/14/2018 So when I installed it the first night. It stuck all night, but at noon the next day it fell off the windshield. I reinstalled it and then found that my Note 8 is too heavy to sit on the windshield. I removed it from the windshield and installed it on a flat console. This time, too, he held out until the night frost. I installed it again but the weight of the phone was still too much I think and it tipped over. Yes, I cleaned the tacky adhesive with soap and water and allowed it to air dry free of any residue before each reinstall. There is a sticky part on the inside of the teat. This is similar if not identical to what most companies use for popsocket/ring phone holders. The phone holder itself was too small. However, the stem was compatible with other holding mounts due to the pivoting/round head. The mount was strong and durable. It stays where you set it. I returned it after 3 days. Maybe it would be better for a lighter phone, not in a tough case.
