In my opinion a must if you have a Super One antenna. In my opinion it is necessary if you have a Super One antenna. As you know, Super Ground requires radials and that makes it a little easier to see. During a field day, this can potentially keep someone from stepping on your antenna and lifting it off the ground. Going hiking will add an extra pound or two, but I think it's worth waiting to get it. It comes in a black pouch with a handle and zip closure. I will be able to use this tripod with a Chameleon or Alex loop antenna. I hope you are as satisfied as I am.
