These 2 girls came with absolutely no instructions; I had to search the internet to see how to use them. I used water and vinegar in a 10:1 ratio. For the time I set a timer for 5 minutes. I removed it before the timer ran out because it ran out of liquid. The interior of the microwave oven was covered with warm steam and wiped clean easily. I keep the inside of my microwave fairly clean, but I have leftovers on the sides and top. The vinegar helped remove any oiliness. Overall I would say it will work. I think if my microwave was really dirty I would run it through a few times to really steam it. I couldn't see the electricity pouring out of her head. I just got myself a steam microwave.
