I bought this jacket because I've traveled the world from cold to hot climates and needed a lightweight jacket that offered good protection. It had to be light, because it had to fit in my carry-on backpack and be easy to take with me across the country when needed. This jacket was just that. The jacket is very light and also folds into one of the pockets. After you unroll it from your bag, it will be crumpled. In the end he was just crammed into a small room. But soon most of the creases smooth out and the jacket looks great again. The jacket folds into a pocket, which is also very convenient for carrying in a bag or backpack. In addition, there are Velcro straps on the sleeves that allow you to adjust the end of the sleeves if you have a narrow wrist or just want a tighter wrist. The sleeves were long enough for me which is always a plus. I'm 5ft 7" and have longer arms so this can be an issue at times. The pockets are quite large and have a zip closure, which came in handy for me at the airport at a time when I always needed to get my passport but didn't want to have it in my hand all the time. Travelers, you all know what I'm talking about. The only criticism is that the hood was too small for me. I wish it had a few inches more coverage for my head, but it's definitely manageable. I didn't actually use it much except on the plane when I was going to sleep anyway and to be honest it was good enough for that. When I returned to my colder climate it rained and the jacket was great for that too! It was good for the little rain we had here. I stayed dry and that's usually the goal. Not sure how it will perform in heavy rain, but honestly, if you need a raincoat, buy a raincoat, right? All in all, I can definitely recommend the jacket.
