I actually ordered this for my security camera so I didn't need to order a cloud service, but when I tested it on my computer I decided I wanted to use this one instead. My HP laptop recognized it immediately so I didn't have to do anything. I looked online how to get my computer to use this to save the c drive and I followed the steps to the end including reformatting that are in the instructions I found online. I couldn't believe how much faster my computer got! I'm not really a techie, except for a few things, so it was a learning curve for me. My computer is old and not as fast as it used to be which I know has to do with memory but I just haven't had time to think about whether to fix this issue and fix it or buy a new computer all these years got to. So I'll be using it until I get a new laptop, then I'll probably put it in my security cam as planned. It's a really good value and I haven't had any issues with it. I've seen SD cards cost a lot more than these. You have the option of just using the micro SD or putting it in a case that fits right in my laptop. Too bad my phone doesn't use memory cards, but it's a Google Pixel without that option.
