It's a nice idea in theory. However, the execution is lame. First, it's really foldable with no real rigidity, so you'll have to work hard to make an open basket. It also seems almost impossible for it to stay open or face up when it's on its side. In addition, the material is somewhat reminiscent of a loosely woven filter material - it is not soft at all and looks spongy, but rather thin. There are no pads either. My cat is 13 pounds and I'm sure she could fit but she had absolutely no interest in this thing as she has other tunnels and beds that she prefers.
